I'm dedicated to sharing my passion for volleyball and my expertise with my players, empowering them to believe in themselves and achieve their goals.

 

I’m a 2-time graduate of the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, obtaining 2 Bachelor's degrees and 2 Master's degrees. During my time as an undergraduate, I was a member of the Varsity Volleyball team for 5 years, having redshirted my freshman year to allow time for further skill development and completion of 2 bachelor’s degrees.

I have been playing volleyball for over 30 years, and I'm proud of the fact that I’ve played on 3 different continents. 

As far as my coaching philosophy is concerned, I truly believe that volleyball should be fun first. If the sport is fun, then you will be motivated to work harder. That dedication will feed a competitive fire and translate into the ability to compete on the court.  I realize that being a volleyball player and an athlete is just one aspect of who you are as a person, and I would like to contribute to your development in that way. We can do this through consistency and a willingness to pursue excellence every time we step on the court. As a coach, I value hard work and sportsmanship from my players and myself. My ultimate goal is to increase awareness and popularity of volleyball, and to leave each participant with a positive view of this underappreciated but incredible sport.
